ANIMAL RIGHTS AND ANIMAL WELFARE

“Does the life of an animal meaning nothing at all?” this is the question that suits everyone, a lot of people are neglecting animals and even treat them as if they don’t have feelings, they are also part of our world, they play crucial role in all aspect of human’s life and even helps human’s sufferings. They always spread love to everyone but they received nothing in return, if only everyone cares for animals they would have had understand how hard it is for them not to be able to tell their stories and sufferings, but they are always there to listen to all of our problems and frustrations, yet, what did we do to the love and comfort they give? We neglected them, we didn’t even try to understand what they feel and have taken them for granted. Animals, who deserve all the love that this world has to offer was being stopped by humans, why? because we take away their freedoms, used them for entertainments and experiments but this should be STOP we need to do something to stop abusing the animals and the things that are involved. We can speak for those animals who suffers from being inferior in humans and for experiencing a cruelty of some selfish people who forced them for money, who puts them into cages and injects them with different kinds of chemical for experimentation, we can protect them by using our power and connections to set them free and gave them a home that they need. Sometimes we are too focus on ourselves, we just wants to survive in this cruel world, but so are the animals, they don’t want to be slaved by humans they deserve to be fed, housed and loved by us. Though human as we are we also makes mistakes but this mistakes can be put into actions as long as we know that we are at fault and willing to change our mindset that animals is also part of our world, our nature, they also have feelings, and rights to be treated well, it is just a matter of how you understand and show some care towards them.

Every time we watch circus, visits zoo, takes pictures of the tigers, snakes and different kinds of animals do we ask ourselves like “do they eat well?” “do they sleep well?” “does the owner take good care of them?” because I do, back then I just enjoy watching different kinds of animals in a zoo and being amused of how big and tiny they are how I can only see them for the first time at the zoo and read their stories as if it is not a big deal and now that I’ve grown up, I noticed the changes that I didn’t even notice before, I noticed how they’ve lost their weights and the sadness, longingness and loneliness flustered in their faces. I was blinded by the fact that they have suffered for years just to entertain and amused us, we didn’t care how much they’ve missed their homes and how they wanted the freedom to enjoy themselves in the wild and getting out of those tiny cages they were locked in. Every time you watched them carefully you noticed how tired they are especially the elephants who carry people in a sunny day and how they really wants to drink water for them not to be dehydrated, and how the tigers being drugged for the tourist to take a pictures of them lying down and forcing them to act nice in front of those people, imagine how hard it is for them to deal with those people, they still need enough time to have some rest and to at least enjoy laying down. We need to understand how they feel, how they wanted to be happy too and not to welcome them an another flash of the camera, people who surrounds them just to take a picture and how hard it is for them deal with the spotlight and use them to satisfy us. They are having a hard time in this world, yet, what did the owners do? They still tries to abuse them and make them suffer mentally and physically for what? For profit, where they can only enjoy and the animal who suffered can’t do anything about it. This should be a big lesson to all of us that we should give them the love that they wanted and to stop supporting this kind of business where they make the animals suffer for the profit, I’m not talking to all of the business because some of the business takes good care of their animals.

So next time you see an animal that is held in captivity for our enjoyment, we should consider how their well being is monitored and if they are in good hands with the business. We should be mindful and think about them because we can also help them even if it just a small thing, we can make them happy in a simple gestures that we show to assure them that not all humans are cruel there are people who cares and love animals with all their heart. We can make them happy for always cuddling with them and do some tricks or teach them different kinds of techniques that can help them grow and also understand us, that is the easy way to communicate and see them as our own love ones.
